In this Jumby Bay Blog we always welcome feedback from guests who have come to the island and have shared a special vacation. As we get ready to unveil the new Jumby Bay Resort this November we can tell you about how wonderful the property is but it is our guests who can really give you insight about what makes this private island paradise so special. Here’s one example…
A Guest’s Story:
We came as a family of ten to Jumby for the past six seasons. Grandparents, children and grand children. Our Jumby memories are what kept us coming back each year. Your staff has been without exception wonderful to us. The combination of food, accommodations and beautiful quiet beaches cannot in our minds be beat. We have so many wonderful memories like “white night on the beach” , ” shopping with Adella in the gift shop, ice cream cones of fresh sorbet for mid morning snack again on the beach and rum punches at the beach bar in the late afternoon.
However, the one memory we all take with us is our last 5 minutes at Jumby Bay. Our granddaughter, Ariel, loves the apple crepes the pastry chef always made. Our last visit, Feb.2008, they were not on the dessert table. Before we left the pastry chef promised to make the crepes for lunch or dinner one day. Our last lunch there were no crepes at the table, Ariel was a little disappointed but said nothing. We were boarding the boat at one in the afternoon to leave and who comes running down the dock but the pastry chef with a plate of hot apple crepes for Ariel. Now how nice is that!!!!
I hope we are lucky enough to be able to come back as a family, however matching up school vacations gets harder as the grandchildren get older. We will never forget our vacations together at Jumby and wish you all well with your new season.
