Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort

One thing I always enjoy when I go to Jumby Bay is that at around sunset some of the local homeowners and guests will make their way down to the tiny, quaint beach bar where you can literally wiggle your toes in the sand and tip a signature island cocktail while soaking up the beautiful scenery.

A favorite choice with the locals at Jumb Bay Resort is a drink called the Old Fashioned Rum Punch, so I thought I would share the recipe here so in case you’re not able to get to the island but you’re craving a bit of Caribbean flavor. This way you’ll have something to hold you over and get you in the festive Jumby Bay spirit until you can wiggle your toes in the sand at this beautiful private island escape.

OLD FASHIONED RUM PUNCH

Ingredients:

1 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice

2 oz Cavalier Rum (dark Antiguan rum)

1 oz simple sugar

5 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

Dash of cinnamon

 Directions

Combine all ingredients into a glass of ice and stir. Garnish with lime. Enjoy!
